Mongolian-Sryle Minced Beef

A quick Mongolian-style minced beef fakeaway made with lean beef, garlic, ginger, soy, teriyaki and a touch of brown sugar for a sweet-savoury glaze. Finished with rice vinegar for balance and spring onions for freshness, it’s high in protein, full of flavour and perfect served with rice or noodles.

Step 1

Spray a hot pan with low calorie cooking spray. Add the minced beef and leave it undisturbed for 2-3 minutes so it can develop proper caramelisation, then break it up and continue frying until fully browned. This step improves flavour and stops the mince from going soft or steamed.
