Fakeaway: Sticky Orange Chicken

A lighter fakeaway favourite with crispy air fried chicken coated in a sweet, sticky orange glaze. Packed with bold citrus flavour and served with rice and greens, it’s a high protein, takeaway style dish made healthier at home.

Absolute banger for fakeaway Friday. My sauce thickened without the need for the cornflour.

It was probably the orange juice quality that ruined our attempt. I think a better quality real OJ will make this delish as the texture and stickiness was spot on!

Ahhh no! Thats such a shame. You can also do this recipe with fanta orange and skip the cornflour. It takes a while to simmer down in the pan though, around 20 minutes. Let me know if you would like the recipe for this version xx If tryimg with another orange juice, pick a good quality sweet one.
