Step 1
Heat a large non stick frying pan over a high heat and spray with low calorie cooking spray. Season the diced beef well with salt and black pepper, then brown in batches until deeply coloured all over. Once browned, remove from the pan and set aside.

Please note, I haven’t added any dried apricots or raisins due to personal preference, but for a more authentic Moroccan-style flavour you can add either, if you wish.

Soo delicious! I swapped beef for lamb as a preference, the flavours were very authentic. Another slow cooker dish perfect to come home to after a long day. Enjoyed the couscous, was nice to have something other than rice or pasta or potatoes. Thank you for another fab recipie x

Hi Jules! I’d add them with the chopped tomatoes, tomato purée and stock! This will give them time to soften in the slow cooker and flavour the sauce xx

The family all liked this, I added some chopped dried apricots which I think improved the flavour and a teaspoon of dark brown sugar. I didn’t personally find the lemon juice enhanced the flavour so I’d probably leave it out next time, but all of those things are just personal preference! Will definitely be making this again and nice to have a Moroccan beef option seeing as lamb is so expensive.

I was dying to add the apricots, but I just know my girls wouldn’t have eaten it. So glad that you made a more authentic version and added them 🙂 Lamb is mega expensive isn’t it? 😩 but easily substituted too if you fancied giving it a try with lamb! So pleased that you enjoyed it xx
